Ricky is the son of CMA missionaries who have worked in Chile for over 20 years. He currently resides in France, serving in a local church. Richard also has a healthy obsession with the Gospel of Mark, particularily it’s emphasis on discipleship and suffering for Christ. His current work in France, with it’s 1% population of evangelicals should put his convictions to the test. His other interests include history, political science, anthropology and music.
Some of his favorite authors include: C.S. Lewis and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

You seem like a couple of pretty cool guys. I’m glad to see you’ve taken an interest in the conversation at RefCath. Any aspirations to the ministry for either of you?
I do, personally, although its something I still pray about and struggle with.
I will be going the Northern Ireland (Lord willing) for the whole year, 2008 to serve at a local church in Belfast (note the link to “all saints” in the blogroll). I’m hoping that it’ll be a great time to work it all out.
Sam,
Struggling is good, especially at a young age. I personally struggled for around 5 years over whether to enter the academy or the pastorate. This summer my calling to the pastorate, I believe, was finally confirmed. But I have nonetheless benefitted greatly from the experience and knowledge gained through my preparation for a career in academic work.
I hope and pray your time in Ireland proves an abundant blessing to you and provides some clarity.
Peace,
JB
Thank you very much.
Hi Sam,
This is Cosmin from All Saints’ Church Belfast.
Just to let you know that we are praying for you as you prepare to come to serve Christ in Belfast.
In Christ Jesus,
Cosmin
